Location
The documentary will be filmed on location in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to filming at Arthur Street Hotel, we will spend time at encampments, affordable housing apartment complexes, with the Feed Louisville staff, and highlight some of Louisville’s landmarks.
The Five Phases of Film Production
An overview of the key activities, responsibilities, and projected timeline for the five phases of production are:

General concept, funding, legal, script, film is greenlit

2. Pre-Production (8 weeks)
Location scout, hire crew, identify cast, finalize script, equipment, shooting schedule, travel plans

Principal photography in Louisville, KY

Editing, color grading, sound, music

5. Marketing & Distribution (2+ years)
PR, marketing campaign, film festivals, theatrical screenings, licensing, streaming, VOD, sales
Distribution
For the film festival run, we are strategically targeting the festivals where we feel the film can have the greatest positive impact by showcasing solutions for the unhoused to a receptive audience. The film will be submitted to top regional festivals, including some that are Academy Award qualifying. We will collaborate with a producer’s representative who can bolster our reach and connect us with distributors outside of our own circle.
The theatrical release will focus on local theaters and private film screenings coupled with fundraising events.
Other outlets include distribution through streaming, DVD sales, and industrial / community screenings to organizations.
Business & Financial Model
Always Sunny & 68 and Let’s Do Good Media were both founded on the idea that we can take exemplary care of each other and be wildly successful in creating feel-good stories. We can choose to collaborate over negotiate, with “all cards face up” and create win-win-win solutions for the crew-cast-financiers. Everyone who contributes to the success of the film is recognized.
The financial model includes a provision for sharing a percentage of net profits with Arthur Street Hotel, crew & cast**, investors, and the copyright holders. (**Non-actors will be compensated at the SAG daily rate.)
Kentucky Film Incentives
• The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) granted approval at their 12/7/23 meeting. Between 30% – 35% of approved Kentucky expenditures, up to $93,100, will be reimbursed in a refundable income tax credit. The maximum rebate is $28,080.
• This includes expenses for payroll for above & below-the-line cast & crew, accommodations, food, rental vehicles, equipment & audio/visual services sourced in Kentucky.
• The application costs incurred were $2,115 for administrative, application, and legal fees.
