LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Arthur Street Hotel in Louisville is celebrating a milestone anniversary.

One year ago, the LDG Foundation started using the property to serve the homeless community.

The hotel staff helps them get the documents needed to secure a new home while providing mental and other health services and outreach programs.

“Ninety percent of the hotel guests have mental health conditions, and 65% have active substance use and behavioral health barriers that preclude easily finding securing and maintaining housing,” Dr. Susan Buchino, Executive Director of Arthur Street Hotel, said.

The Arthur Street Hotel has already helped more than 160 people find permanent housing.

All services are offered free of charge.
